On March 27, Chairman Kim Chang Keon visited the Ministry of Mining and Geology and held a meeting with First Deputy Minister Feruza Khamidova.
During the meeting, in-depth discussions were held on various topics, including an overall introduction to Uzbekistan’s mining development projects, as well as
investment attraction for Korean companies and related support procedures.
Uzbekistan is rich in natural resources such as gold, tungsten, copper, and rare earth elements. Recently, global companies from China, Germany, Russia, Turkey, and Canada have shown
strong interest, leading to active investment and development activities. At this meeting, First Deputy Minister Feruza Khamidova expressed
strong interest in encouraging outstanding Korean companies to participate in investment and development, and promised various incentives and support measures.
Meanwhile, the meeting was attended by First Deputy Minister Feruza Khamidova and senior officials from the Ministry of Mining and Geology.
Chairman Kim Chang Keon stated that he plans to visit Uzbekistan in the near future with leading Korean companies currently collaborating on mining development projects, in order to proceed with full-scale project implementation.
