From March 12 to 13, Chairman Kim Chang Keon visited the Fergana Region of the Republic of Uzbekistan together
with an official delegation led by Pyeongtaek Mayor Jeong Jang-seon of Gyeonggi Province.
During the two-day visit, Chairman Kim Chang Keon held a meeting with Governor Hayrullo Bozorov and discussed various topics of mutual interest. In addition, a business forum was
organized in cooperation with the association and the chambers of commerce from both regions.
During the visit, Chairman Kim Chang Keon exchanged views with Governor Hayrullo Bozorov, with whom he has maintained a long-standing relationship, on attracting Korean investment and addressing challenges faced by companies operating in the region. Governor Hayrullo Bozorov expressed his sincere
appreciation for Chairman Kim Chang Keon’s continuous support over the past decade in promoting the economic development of the Fergana Region, strengthening bilateral cooperation
between Korea and Uzbekistan, and facilitating sister-city partnerships between local governments.
Meanwhile, during the visit, active B2B meetings were held between major companies affiliated with
the Pyeongtaek Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Fergana Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Both sides agreed to continue developing their cooperation and work toward
meaningful outcomes in the areas of investment and trade.
