On July 31, Eurasia Networks Group (Chairman Kim Chang Keon) signed a comprehensive agreement with Sun Moon University (President Hwang Sun Jo) on student exchange cooperation with five Central Asian countries.
The signing ceremony is expected to provide an opportunity to select and attract excellent Central Asian students to settle in Korea by providing customized education and stable employment guarantees to companies that are struggling with the decline of the school-age population and the shortage of workers due to the decrease of the domestic population. This project would also provide alternatives to the crises facing the country, such as solving the problems of population decline, decline of the school-age population, and shortage of workers, thereby contributing to the economic development and offering a base for playing a pivotal bridge role in the future diplomatic, cultural, and economic development between the Republic of Korea and Central Asian countries.
Meanwhile, the project was launched in May by Eurasia Networks Group together with Sun Moon University. In May, 21 organizations including local governments, the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the Human Resource Development Service of Korea, local chambers of commerce, small and medium-sized business organizations, universities and institutions, and embassies of five Central Asian countries signed an agreement to actively cooperate and support the project.
